Conflicts Split Board Multi-Million Dollar Tuna Company ff

8 May 2007 Australia

The stepsons of Makybe Diva’s owner Tony Santic recently quit as directors of the multi-million dollar Port Lincoln tuna fishing company.

Christine Santic’s sons Leith and Adam Whittaker ceased being directors on March 2, about the time rumors began circulating about the split between the Santics.

Adam, 33, and Leith, 31, as well as Bianca, 20, are from Christine’s previous marriage.

Tony and Christine, along with Dragan Vidov, are now the remaining directors, according to company documents.

The Sunday Herald Sun last week revealed the split between the Santics.

Emily Krstina, Tony Santic’s daughter from his first marriage to Sonya, who died about 20 years ago, disputed claims her stepmother was “the rock behind the success” of the family business: “She’s not the driving force.”

Mr. Santic, 54, is estimated to be worth more than $200 million by BRW magazine and friends say Mrs. Santic, 52, would want more than the $70 million touted recently in a divorce settlement.
