Dongwon Reintroduces ‘Tuna Tartare’ Due To High Demand

Dongwon Industries recently announced that it has launched a new product ‘Tuna Yukhoe.’ Korean supermarket chain Traders Wholesale Club, where customers can buy large quantities of merchandise at discounted prices, has been selling these items from December 19. Tuna Yukhoe is tuna processed to look like the famous Korean dish Yukhoe made from raw or marinated tuna. It resembles a steak tartare.

Consumers who purchase the Tuna Yukhoe can also relish the special sauce, developed through joint research and development with Dongwon Home Food, which comes along with it. Dongwon claimed that the item maximizes the taste of real tuna caught by their vessels. Tuna Yukohoe is priced at KRW 17,980 (USD 12) for a 400 g pack. The product was introduced as a limited edition in Traders Wholesale Club in October but sold out quickly. Dongwon plans to roll this out to more retail outlets across the nation soon.
