Bumble Bee Film Festival Offers Attractive Cash Prize To Winners

Bumble Bee is back with yet another innovative technique to attract consumers to buy its tuna products. This time, it is eyeing not only the young generation, but people of all ages. Earlier this week, the company announced the launch of its ‘Tuna CANS Film Festival,’ a first-of-its-kind contest where it urged aspiring filmmakers or anyone to make a creative short video/film featuring Bumble Bee tuna in it. The winner will get a cash prize of USD 25,000.
The company has joined hands with content creator and filmmaker Reece Feldman, who goes by the pseudonym ‘Guy with a Movie Camera’ on social media, to lead the panel of judges. They will select 15 finalists, and eventually the winner. Each film’s technical expertise, storytelling, originality and overall impact (of the film) would be the criteria taken into account to decide the winner. The video needs to be below 60 seconds and must feature a Bumble Bee can or pouch in it. Bumble Bee has also teamed up with other social media content creators to promote the ‘Tuna CANS Film Festival,’ for which the submissions are due by October 3. More details are on the Tuna CANS official site.
