Ricardo Fuentes To Boost Operations With New Deal

03 March 2026

Spanish bluefin fattening farmer Ricardo Fuentes recently signed an agreement to purchase land in the ‘Fadricas II’ industrial park in San Fernando, Spain, to build a processing and logistics center for bluefin and other seafood operations. Patricia Cavada, Mayor of San Fernando, announced on her Facebook page that the project “will allow the creation of 40 new direct jobs in the city.”

The new facility will be focused on the production and distribution of bluefin and seafood products, consolidating the company’s position in the market and reinforcing the sector’s presence in the province of Cádiz, reported Spanish news site Lavozdelsur. Ricardo Fuentes, the family-owned vertically-integrated company, manages the full chain from purse-seine capture and bluefin fattening farms in the Medittaranean, to ultra-low-temperature processing and global distribution. Its products are mainly exported to Japan, Europe, and North America.
