Gomes Da Costa Launches Promotion To Drive Tuna Sales In Brazil

09 October 2026

Brazilian brand Gomes da Costa, owned by Spanish company Nauterra, is running a retail promotion for its entire range of tuna products from September 21 to November 19. The promotion encompasses 100 percent of the brand’s tuna line, including chunks, salads, and pâtés. The brand wants to encourage trial of different items in the portfolio, stimulate stock turnover, and increase the average value of the shopper’s basket, reported Brazilian news sites.

Consumers must spend at least BRL 20 (USD 3.98) on Gomes da Costa tuna products and can be a part of the promotion, which offers prizes worth up to BRL 700 (USD 140) and a chance to win a car. A Nauterra spokesperson said the initiative comes at the perfect time to boost the category’s revenue in the second half of the year. “By focusing on the tuna category and offering an additional advantage for the pâté line, the brand creates a direct incentive at the point of sale, benefiting both consumers and retail partners.” Last October, the brand came up with a campaign promoting its tuna and pasta combo, promoting it on social media.
