Croatian Farmed Bluefin To Make Entry Into China

In a significant trade development, bluefin products from Croatia’s fattening farms were given the green light to enter China. It was announced at the 4th China–Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, held from May 22 to 25 in China. The event was a pivotal platform for enhancing economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between China and Central and Eastern European countries.
China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC) confirmed that Croatian bluefin is among the 126 agricultural and food products which CEEC recently approved for import into China. However, the tonnages that can be exported from Croatia and when the first shipments will be sent was not revealed. This latest development is an initiative by China to broaden access to European delicacies and streamline import procedures, reported news sites. Croatia’s bluefin activities are primarily based near Zadar, and on the islands of Brač and Ugljan, along the Adriatic coast.
