Dongwon’s New Tuna Bibimbap Is Out In South Korea

Dongwon F&B has expanded its Bibimbap items, a popular South Korean dish, under its brand. Earlier this month, the company launched four new flavors of ‘Yangban Bibim Bap Frozen Fried Rice’. All are with seafood and tuna is one of them, called ‘Dongwon Tuna Kimchi Fried Rice’. The product is made from rice, roasted at 190℃ in a wok to preserve the smoky flavor and texture. The meal can be microwaved or heated in a pan before consuming. The other three variations are made with shrimp, octopus, and tofu and egg. According to Dongwon F&B, the tuna Bibimbap is available in a 420 g pack (2 items of 210 g) at KRW 7,480 (USD 5.36).
The company said that it is strengthening its home meal replacement product line by launching the super-easy mixed bibimbap, ‘Yangban Bibimbap’ last year and ‘Yangban 100 Bap,’ made with only rice and water, this year. It plans to introduce a variety of frozen rice products in the future, such as rice balls and containerized food. A Dongwon F&B official said, “This product was planned for customers who want to enjoy the taste of a professional restaurant while cooking easily. We will continue to release a variety of new products that suit consumer tastes in the future.”
