EU regulation regarding the -18 degrees Celsius for brine freezing of tuna by purse seiners destined for direct human consumption has just come into effect. This requires a different way of data reporting for boat owners and importers to prove that the temperature remained at -18 throughout the supply chain.

The panelists at the ninth edition of the European Tuna Conference will address the challenges and obstacles of such reporting. The ETC2026 is taking place on Monday, April 20, in Barcelona.
