PNA Open Entries For World Tuna Day 2026
The Parties of Nauru Agreement (PNA) have called for entries to its World Tuna Day 2026 Competition, under the theme 'Sustaining Tuna, Sustaining Nations' for this year. “This year’s theme highlights a simple truth. When tuna is sustained, our nations are sustained. The theme builds on last year’s celebration and strengthens the focus on long-term stewardship, economic stability, and national resilience,” read PNA Tuna’s Facebook post. The UN established the World Tuna Day on May 2.
The event includes competitions for arts and crafts, literature, music, video, and photography, and is open to people of all ages in PNA countries --Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, and Tokelau. The organizers have also arranged cash prizes for winners in each category. Details about submission requirements and criteria are given on the PNA website. The deadline for submitting applications is April 20.
