02 January 2024

Infofish has opened registrations for the 18th World Tuna Conference and Exhibition in Bangkok from May 20 to 22. This year’s event is themed ‘Advancing Blue Transformation, Sustainable Development and Innovation through the global tuna industry.’ Nearly 660 participants will gather, including speakers, experts and representatives from the global tuna industry, RFMOs, NGOs, processors, policymakers, scientists, and researchers from 32 countries.

According to the Infofish website, the event, shortened to TUNA 2024, will be a “significant platform for industry partners and stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region and globally to come together on the latest trade and market trends, technological developments and the ongoing efforts for greater sustainability in an industry that remains ever so dynamic and resilient.” The World Tuna Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, the same venue as in 2022. It is jointly organized by Infofish, the Thailand Department of Fisheries, and the Thai Tuna Industry Association. Atuna is the official media supporter of this event.
