Global Tuna Market Leaders To Speak At TUNA 2024

The curtain for the INFOFISH 18th World Tuna Trade Conference & Exhibition in Bangkok will be up within a month. The session on ‘Global tuna market trends from across major regional markets,’ on the second day, will have an array of international speakers.

Roberto Alonso, Secretary General of Spanish canner’s association Anfaco-Cecopesca, will speak about European trends. Dario Chemirinski, Senior Business Director of the business consulting service, Selecting Strategic Partners, will touch on developments in Latin America.

Arnab Sengupta, Deputy CEO of tuna exporting company JMB International in Thailand, will be the orator from Africa and the Middle East. Thai Tuna Industry Association Director, Amornphan Aramwatananont, will discuss the topic representing Asia and the Pacific region. The speaker for the USA market has not yet been announced. Each executive will have twenty minutes of speaking time.

The registration for the event, also called TUNA 2024, is still open for an early-bird rate until today. On April 25, the fee will increase. It will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok from May 20 to 22, and is jointly organized by the Thailand Department of Fisheries, the Thai Tuna Industry, and IATTC, IOTC, and WCPFC along with INFOFISH. More than 650 participants and 43 speakers from 16 countries are expected to attend TUNA 2024. Rhea Moss-Christian, Executive Director of WCPFC, will chair the event. Atuna is the official media supporter of TUNA 2024.
