Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Ranks Strengthen With Former Tuna Expert

Former Thai Union’s Sustainability Director Darian McBain has joined California-based Monterey Bay Aquarium as a Senior Fellow. McBain will work remotely from Singapore with Monterey Bay’s global programs team on supply chains and community resilience in developing market economies and sustainable seafood, reported news sites.

McBain, who worked with Thai Union Group from 2015 to 2021, led various sustainability initiatives. Her role was taken over by Adam Brennan. She then joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for its formation of a new Sustainability Group. She is the CEO and founder of OCSO, a service for organizations seeking sustainability advice. McBain said that Monterey Bay’s work to protect oceans and seafood production is inspiring and critical to the future of healthy communities and vibrant ecosystems. The Aquarium is known for its Seafood Watch program which helps consumers and businesses make choices for a healthy ocean.
